Karen Zupanic's family has a rich history of art, spanning many generations. The faience artwork of her great-grandfather is in the Museum Burghalde in Lenzburg, Switzerland (https://www.myswitzerland.com/en-au/experiences/museum-burghalde/) and the artwork of her grandfather (former Head of the Art Department at Sandia Labs) is showcased in New Mexico. Her mother, brother, and uncle are also artisans (pastels, oils, leather, silver, etc.)
